Muslim fans of Salman Khan outside the La Meridian Hotel

Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s one day Ahmedabad visit created chaos at three places in the city. Salman had to confine himself to his hotel room due to heavy rush of people gathered outside the hotel. He canceled his couple of events due to security reasons.

Salman couldn’t give a ride to underprivileged children at Parsoli Motors in the morning. He couldn’t inaugurate a painting exhibition here and also couldn’t auction his painting for charity. He had to cancel press interaction too at Parsoli motors.

Salman had to cancel his press interaction cum promotional event at Gitanjali Jewelers in Navrangpura in the afternoon due to heavy crowds of people wanting to have a glimpse of the star outside the show room.

But the real chaos was experienced at La Meridien Hotel which is located in Muslim dominated Khanpur area.

Around 150 to 200 Muslims gathered near the gate of Hotel La Meridian obstructed traffic on this road. They wanted to have a glimpse of Salman. Police frequently lathicharged the crowd to make movement of traffic smoother. However the crowd didn’t leave the place and anxiously waited for Salman till the evening when Salman departed from the hotel.

While Crowd was facing tough time outside on road in heat facing police and private bouncers pressure, Salman was busy interacting with press on one to one bases inside the hotel room. Between two interviews he and his brother Sohail used to look outside the windows from behind the curtain to have an idea of the latest situation of crowd and chaos on road. Also Cigaratte smoking was frequent in Salman’s room. Ahmedabad’s DCP Traffic Anarwala was seen outside Salman’s room with family member.

After completing several rounds of press interviews to promot his next film Mr. and Mrs. Khanna, Salman left the hotel at 5:30 pm. When his car left the hotel, hundreds of local Muslims followed the car up to half a kilometer distance. A person was seen throwing stone on Salman’s car expressing his anger.

Ahmed Sultan, one of the persons from crowd said, “Salman didn’t care for us. He didn’t turn up at least once in a lobby to respond us. We waited in heat and faced police lathi, but Salman didn’t think about us. He didn’t come once in a lobby to wave his hand towards us.”

When Salman reached airport and left the city, the policemen felt great peace.
