Georgia University Vice Chancellor meets Modi, MOU inked

In a courtesy call, a delegation led by Garry Schutter, Vice Chancellor (PROVOST) of the world renowned Georgia University and Stwen Melaungir met Chief Minister Narendrabhai Modi at Gandhinagar today and shown keenness to participate in Gujarat’s initiatives.
MoUs were inked between Georgia University and Pandit Din Dayal University for setting-up Centres of Excellence for research in Energy. Acording to state information department release, the Vice-Chancellor and his team held a fruitful dialogue with the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister outlined the theme of Children University, Forensic Science University, and Raksha-Shakti University. Referring to the concrete initiatives taken by the state government to tackle global challenge of climate change, Chief Minister detailed the encouraging policy initiatives taken by his Government to give boost to solar energy sector. Gujarat has emerged as the Petro Capital of India.
Director of Georgia Institute of Technology, Shri Vijay Medisatti, Principal Secretary to Energy and Petroleum Department Shri D.J.Pandiyan, M.D. Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Shri Tapan Rey, Principal Secretary to C.M. Shri K Kailashnathan were among the others who attended the meeting.
