-Hoklashtak Kamurta begins from today.
-Five are dead in accident between Chhakdo rickshaw and train in Banaskantha district at unmanned railway crossing.
-Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today graced Gujarat Bar Council’s Golden Jubilee celebration function in Amdavad. Modi expressed Gujarat government’s intention to establish courts in each taluka of the state in future. He announced Rs. 50000 aid to each district bar council library.
-Ahmedabad’s Anupam cinema caught fire today afternoon. The theater was closed for repairing.
-Indian Coast Guard today organized a swimming competition at Porbandar coast.
-Saurashtra zone Congress convention was organized in Rajkot today. It was presided by Gujarat Congress’s new President Shri Arjunbhai Modhwadia who attacked Modi government for being capitalist.
-One person hit by BRTS bus was killed in Ahmedabad’s Muslim dominated Chandola area. This incident resulted into attacks on several BRTS buses. BRTS services to Naroda route were halted due to this incident in the evening.
-Indian Coast Guards caught seven Pakistani fishermen and a boat off Gujarat coast.
-Morari Bapu’s latest Ramkatha is for generating fund for construction of houses for denotified tribes. In another development Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Sanstha(BAPS) has opened two new Mandirs in tribal areas. While one Mandir is opened in Godhra, the other is in Bodeli.
