Modi’s Surat visit, inauguration of intra-state air service postponed

Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s Scheduled Surat visit on Friday has been postponed. CM was to inaugurate Gujarat’s first intra-state air service connecting 11 cities of the state.
The service is to be operated by ‘Deccan 360’ with two 60-seater plane.
New schedule of inauguration will be declared in next some days.
Meanwhile Captain Gopinath-led Deccan Charters today said it would launch intra-state flights in the first week of May in Gujarat providing air connectivity to six cities from here in the phase one.
According to PTI report, the launch has been postponed due to delay in arrival of its two ATR-72 aircraft from Europe for the launch services.
“The aircraft being imported from Europe for the launch of intra-state services in Gujarat have got stuck up,” a company employee said explaining the cancellation of launch event and adding that they are likely to be delivered in next two days.
