First lady of Corporate India, philanthropist and educationist Nita Ambani, wife of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) CMD Shri Mukesh Ambani today visited north Gujarat’s busy pilgrim place Ambaji.
Mrs Ambani in a private visit arrived at Ambaji Mandir amid sounds of welcome band in the morning. She was welcomed here by traditionally dressed local tribal girls from Garasiya community.
It is believed that ardent cricket lover Mrs Ambani prayed at Ambaji mandir for victory of her co-owned cricket team Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai Indians led by Sachin Tendulkar are going to fight the play-offs eliminator cricket battle of IPL 2011 against Kolkata Knight Riders today evening in Mumbai. The winner of today’s match will play against Royal Challengers Bangalore in almost a semi-final like game whereas the loser team will be out of the tournament.
As this was her personal visit, Mrs Ambani politely avoided talking with media.
Entire Ambaji mandir complex was thoroughly checked for security purpose prior to Mrs Ambani’s visit.
