Tribal Advisory Council’s meeting held under CM’s headship

A meeting of Tribal Advisory Council was held today in the headship of Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The meet took a decision to re-scrutinize all the claims made by tribal people under Forest Right Law which were disapproved.

A resolution was passed in the meeting to ask the Government of India to amend the Forest Right Law and give the custodians a sanad instead of charters for their possession.

Chief Minister said that tribal community should be given maximum benefits of the Forest Right Law and it should be checked that wrong people do not take away benefits of real beneficiaries.

Progress of Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana and other tribal welfare works were also discussed in the meeting. Chief Minister welcomed the positive suggestions in the meeting and gave necessary directives to the concerned departments.

Forest Minister, Minister of State for Forest Shri Jaswantsinh Bhabhor, Parliamentary Secretary Shri Harshadbhai Vasava, Chief Secretary Shri A.K.Joti, secretaries of different departments and 16 members of Tribal Advisory Council were present on the occasion.
