Fruits were just for show, a truck from Kashmir was actually carrying 105 Kg Charas to Ahmedabad, 3 arrested

Officials of Gujarat Police’s Narcotic Control Department have caught 105 kg Charas which is valued at Rs five crore in international market.
On specific input, Ahmedabad based Narcotic Control Bureau’s ACP Sarvaiya and staff stopped a truck JK 02 AB 4195 from Kashmir near Aslali cross roads in Ahmedabad. However police team found only fruits in the truck. When police searched driver’s chamber, 43 packets of Charas were recovered from a hidden compartment.
Driver Faruq Mohammad Qasim(Mankot, district Punch, J&K) and Ishaq Mohammad Aziz(Rajouri, J&K) informed the police that they were to deliver this stock to one Sheikh Junaid Shabbir Hussain who lives in Ahmedabad’s Shahpur area. Police later arrested Sheikh Junaid also.
This is the largest consignment caught by Gujarat Police in recent time.
