In a bid to take maximum advantage of social networking media, Gujarat Congress has come out with a Facebook page seeking ideas for party’s manifesto for year 2012 general election of Gujarat assembly.

The page has been titled as ‘Gujarat Congress Manifesto 2012’. Its introduction text reads “This is official page of Gujarat Congress created for the purpose of knowing from people of Gujarat about the issues faced by them in Current BJP Government and knowing their wishlist which congress can include in their manifesto for election 2012.”

Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia made announcement of this page on Thursday evening on Facebook. So far the page has received no suggestion on its wall.

It should be mentioned here that Gujarat Congress leaders have announced in different public rallies that the party would finalize its manifesto for Gujarat assembly election well in advance. Gujarat Congress leader and former Chief Minister Shri Shankersinh Vaghela has started promising the people in various public meeting that if Congress party comes to power in Gujarat it would decrease the tax on fuel and will make petrol cheaper by Rs 10 per liter.

Gujarat Congress leaders are also promising power connection to dark zone areas, clearance to all pending agricultural power connection application, granted school colleges etc.
