Gujarat Budget 2012-13: Three new RTO offices,Dholera express way,bypass in Sanand,Mahesana,river bridge in Vautha

Gujarat’s Surat, Vadodara and Bavala will have new RTO offices at a cost of Rs 13.86 crore. This was announced by Finance Minister Shri Vajubhai Vala today in his budget speech.

Shri Vala announced purchase of 1600 new State Transport buses in fiscal year of 2012.

He announced construction of Ahmedabda-Dholera express way at a cost of Rs 133 crore.

“A provision of ` 133 crore has been made for the construction of 117 kilometers long Ahmedabad-Dholera express highway, connecting Dholera Special Investment Region,” Shri Vala said.

Shri Vala announced construction of by-pass in Sanand and Mehsana. He said, “being highly important, Sanand and Mahesana by-pass highway is proposed to be built at an estimated cost of 200 crore.”

Shri Vala announced construction of a river bridge in Vautha, connecting Ahmedabad and Kheda districts at a cost of Rs 16.35 crore.

“A provision of ` 16.35 crore for the construction of bridge connecting Ahmedabad and Kheda district near Vautha,” he announced.

“With an estimated cost of ` 150 crore, railway over-bridge and under-bridge will be constructed near Anand, Palanpur, Mahesana and Sobhasan (Dist. Mahesana) on public private partnership basis,” he further announced.

Shri Vala announced Rs 2000 crore for affordable middle class houses in urban area.

“Every middle class citizen dreams of having a home of his own. The State Government has envisaged a scheme to provide affordable housing for the middle classes, at the cost of Rs 2000 crore,” he announced.

Vala announced a provision of Rs 117.50 crore for creation of facilities befitting to national & international convention, in phase-I-B as a part of Mahatma Mandir complex. He also announced a provision of Rs 80 crore for Mitha Khadak, Gandhi Upavan, Dandi bridge and Gandhi Museum in Mahatma Mandir and for the Swarnim Park in Gandhinagar, capital of Gujarat.
