Leading Lohana philanthropist Jayantibhai Kundalia passes away


Ahmedabad, 27 February, 2012

Gujarat based Lohana Mahaparishad’s Managing Trustee Shri Jayantibhai Kundalia is no more.

Born in Rajkot on 12th of June 1926, Shri Kundalia studied upto std. 8th in Shri Karansinhji Middle school. Later he started his vegetable commission agency business.

At the age of 35 he took a decision to buy a farmer land at a cost of Rs 1000 per acre. This was his first deal. Later he started a construction business. He also started a Girnar theater in Rajkot. He was Councillor of RMC from Congress party for 33 years and became Standing Committee Chairman. He was credited for turn-down of Rajkot Commercial Co-operative bank which was once a loss making.
