Ahmedabad, 30 March, 2012
The city of Ahmedabad today received a great gift of new AC auditorium, which is the largest in its category.
The new hall, centrally Air conditioned with new comfortable chairs, is similar to existing Thakorbhai Desai hall, Tagore hall or Town hall of Ahmedabad, with step-wise rows for clear view of the stage.
However, the main point of attraction is that, the sitting capacity of this newest hall is almost double compare to existing Town hall, Tagore hall or Thakorbhai Desai hall. While other halls in this category can accommodate around 1000 to 1200 persons at a time, the new hall of Gujarat University can accommodate 2400 persons.
The new hall is situated within the campus of existing Gujarat University Convention centre(known for Modi’s Sadbhavana fast).
The city of Ahmedabad was badly needing a larger auditorium, and here it is. Gujarat University must be thanked for this gift to the city.
The name of the hall is ‘Abhivyakti’. It was inaugurated today afternoon by Gujarat Governor Dr. Kamla Beniwal. Gujarat University has yet not fixed the amount of rental of this hall.
