CM blesses 56 couples at 11th mass wedding of Senva Rawat community

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today attended the 11th mass wedding function of Senva Rawat community, one of the most backward communities of the state in Gandhinagar and blessed 56 newly married couples.
Speaking at the event held under the aegis of the Senva Rawat Samaj Sangh, Mr. Modi said that Gujarat Government has adopted a positive attitude for the development of the have-nots, doubling the assistance to the poor bride under Kunwarbai-nu Mameru Yojna from Rs.5,000 to Rs.10,000.
Even though there are many other schemes for the poor people from birth to death, literally from the womb to tomb, the Chief Minister appealed to the leaders of the poor communities to education their wards only then could come out of the age-old poverty.
Prominent among those present on the occasion was Bechar Swami Ati Pachhat Jati Nigam Chairman Poonambhai Makwana.
