British envoy meets Arjun Modhwadia at Gujarat Congress office

After meeting Gujarat Chief Minister and Governor, British High Commissioner in India Mr. James Bevan today called on Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia at Gujarat Congress headquarter in Ahmedabad.
Sharing the details on a twenty minute long discussion with British envoy, Shri Modhwadia said that this was a courtesy call in which various issues pertaining to Gujarat’s good were discussed with a motive to make Gujarat-England relations stronger.
Shri Modhwadia proposed UK envoy to set up British Consulate office in Ahmedabad. He also asked British envoy to take interest in the issues pertaining to Gujarati speaking people settled in U.K. Modhwadia also talked about work related restrictions imposed on students from Gujarat studying in U.K. He also talked about restrictions on Tourist visas to which the High Commissioner reacted positively.
Shri Modhwadia said that Mr. James is well aware about the situation of Gujarat, as he is from Leicester – an area of England with significant population of Gujarati people.
A memento of embossed picture of Mahatma Gandhi was presented to Mr. James Bevan on this occasion.
