“Whoever may contest in your area, I am only your candidate”

Ahmedabad, 19 November 2012

After a long halt during Diwali, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today addressed four rallies in Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara and Surat through live holographic 3d video projection. Modi appealed to voters to ensure that the ongoing loot in Delhi may not be repeated in Gujarat.

“Recently a friend in Congress said that Modi is a monkey. I was compared with a monkey. I think if they had studied Ramayana well, they could have an idea of the strength of a monkey. I accept the certificate of Congress friends, because Hanumanji’s service, his devotion is considered unique in the world even today, and I am fortunate that I have got an opportunity to serve the people who are like Ram and I am their monkey,” Modi said in reference to Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia’s remark.

“Then they said Modi is a rat. But they don’t know the importance of a rat. I am proud of the fact that the rat is a vehicle of Ganeshji, and Vidhnaharta Ganesha sits over me and therefore Gujarat is saved from Vidhna,” Modi further said in reference to another Congress leader’s remarks on him.

“You must know the falsehood of the Congress. One lie they are perpetuating is that Gauchar land is decreasing. But the truth that emanates from government files reveals that past Congress governments allotted 93% Gauchar land to industries. Contrary to this we have allotted only 4% Gauchar land. One more falsehood that is being spread is that education in Gujarat is the costliest. My friends should visit the websites of educational institutes in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. While Engineering college fees in Gujarat is Rs 1500, in Rajasthan it is Rs. 44,000 to 65,000,” Modi said.

Modi attacked Congress party on a number of issues including the issue of gas pipelines.

At the end of his speech Modi said, “Whoever may contest in your area, I am your only candidate, remember my work, remember my Gujarat bhakti while voting. I am your companion, I am there to serve you.”

Modi also said that as many as 2,000 villages in every district will be reached through 3D raths. He said he would visit maximum assembly seats through this technology whilst adding that rallies with him physically present would of course also take place.

Modi appealed to women voters that they should vote more compared to men.
