IIMA to launch its Case website

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) is set to launch its case website cases.iimahd.ernet.in The website is an unique online.

portal to enable academic institutes to explore, register as users, search cases, technical notes and exercises prepared by the IIMA faculty and Associates and buy them online. The website provides details about the case collection of IIMA case method, buying process, and pricing scheme. Dr. Samir K. Barua Director of IIMA will formally inaugurate the website on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 9.30 a.m.

IIMA has been following the case method of learning since its inception in 1961. Its faculty members have developed more than 3000 cases over the years and used them extensively in their Post- Graduate and Executive Educational programmes in India and outside.

Users can register in one of the following seven categories:

•Educational Institutions: Educational institutes planning to use the cases in their academic programmes can avail of special rates by entering into contract with the Institute.

•Faculty/Trainers: Faculty/trainers can down load copies of the case and teaching notes for inspection purposes. In addition, they can buy cases for use in their educational programmes.

•PhD. Scholars: PhD. Scholars can access the site, register and obtain copies of cases for inspection purposes free of cost.

•Students: Students of degree or diploma granting programmes can register independently and buy the cases for their use in their courses.

•Corporates: Corporates offering Executive Education Programmes can buy relevant cases for their programme.

•Executives: Executives of corporations participating in executive education programmes on the campus or in house can download the cases directly.

•Others: IIMA also welcome other users than above to explore the site and register. They can go to cases.iimahd.ernet.in, to explore, register as users, search and buy.
