Modi for PM discussion is on and today’s two statements are from Ram Jethmalani and Shiv Sena. While Shiv Sena statement is lesser important because it has not been made by party’s Chief Uddhav Thackeray, the other statement from BJP MP Ram Jethmalani is on expected line. What he said today, he had said it before too.
Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut today said while Modi is a capable leader and a fine chief minister, “Balasaheb had given his consent to Sushma as he thought that she has the capability to lead the nation. Balasaheb’s word is final for us.”
In another development, BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP and senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani joined the chorus for making Modi the PM candidate, saying he is a “100 percent secular leader”.
“Narendra bhai is the best prime minister of the country, nothing has happened to change my mind. Yashwant Singh has supported my view, and I am very happy,” Jethmalani told reporters here. Jethmalani also said that Modi was completely secular.
He said that if the ally Janata Dal-United (JD(U) chose to walk out of the National Democratic alliance (NDA) following this, then Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should let them.
