As many as 8,000 buses of Gujarat State Transport Corporation (GSRTC) will not be on roads on Wednesday, as GSRTC employees have decided to go on mass leave to protest the central government’s decision to consider GSRTC as bulk consumer of diesel and imposition of Rs 12 per liter fuel price hike on this count.
The mass-leave strike kicks off from midnight today affecting 26 lakh passengers, 46000 trips, involving 45000 employees.
