-The High Court has termed 188 residential units of Neelkanth villa scheme in Bopal, Ahmedabad as illegal.

-Performance of Kanla port has improved according to government figures. In April-December 2011 traffic handled at Kandla port was 53.73 million tonnes while in same period in year 2012 it was 69.497 million tonnes.

-Seven policemen are suspended in Surendranagar district for their nexus with gambling den which came to light after call details of gambling den operators revealed connections to cops.

-A 23-year-old boy Sagar Indravadan Purohit, son of Mangrol’s BRS college English department head drowned in swimming pool at Goa’s Bikers resort. Sagar was a student in Udaipur based college, and he was on Goa tour with friends after completing exam.

-Almost half Saurashtra will not get Narmada water this week-end due to maintenance of pumping stations by Gujarat Water Infrastructure Limited at Morbi, Hirapar and Hadala. Two-day work of replacement of existing pumps will impact all Narmada water beneficiary villages of Porbandar, Rajkot and Jamnagar districts.

-A meeting of all district collectors was held in Gandhinagar on Tuesday to discuss water supply to 8 Municipal Corporations, 159 Municipalities and rural areas.
