Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi while speaking at an inaugural function of Asia’s biggest cattle feed plant in north Gujarat’s Banaskantha district said that people have ignored Congress’s Jalyatra.
“To provoke the farmers of Saurasthra and other people in the name of water, leaders of opposition started Jalyatra which has been ignored by people,” Modi said.
He added that people have full faith in Gujarat government’s efforts to supply Narmada water. Congress started Jalyatra on water issue with an agenda to provoke people, but Congress has not received any support in villages.”
Modi said, “rural people and farmers have faith in Gujarat government because the government has supplied Narmada water and inspired farmers to increase productivity, focus on water and not on power, and use of drip irrigation.”
Modi asked farmers to make Banaskantha district the number one district in India in the area of drip irrigation.
