Bal Shaktim Kendras set up to fight malnutrition

Gujarat State Nutrition Mission has started ten Bal Shaktim centers under Mission Balam Sukham project in Jamnagar district’s Salaya.
As many as 316 malnourished and severely malnourished children are to be served by this center.
Children are given nutritious food once in every two hours here. Sukhdi, vegetable pulav, idli, dhokla, kathol and fruits are some varieties of food offered to children.
In Jamnagar district, Bhadghar and Vadatra also witnessed starting of such centers.
District programme associates, nutrition experts are working for success of these centers under the guidance of district health officer.
