On first half of Narendra Modi’s Mumbai visit

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Mumbai visit started with Maharashtra BJP’s core committee meeting which was attended by all major leaders of Maharashtra unit of BJP excluding Nitin Gadkari. According to BJP leader Gopinath Munde the meeting discussed strategy to win more than 30 seats of Maharashtra in year 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
This was Shri Modi’s first visit to Mumbai after becoming party’s campaign committee Chief. The plan to give grand reception to Mr. Modi was canceled in view of Uttarakhand tragedy.
After attending and addressing Maharashtra BJP’s core committee meeting at Rang Sharda hall in Bandra. Shri Modi drove to Matoshree to meet Shiv Sena Chief Shri Uddhav Thackeray. This was a courtesy call according to sources, and it lasted for around 15 minutes.
