Ahmedabad, 15 July 2013
National award winner Gujarat film ‘The Good Road’ which is scheduled to be released on 19th of this month projects objectionable version of Kutch’s culture.
Senior journalist and columnist Shishir Ramavat observed that in one scene, they show gathering of young prostitutes in an open ground next to highway. Visitors select pre-teen age girls and go to make-shift tent. Dirty language is freely used in this scene. Such sequence has nothing to do with the main story and it could be easily avoided. Kutch can’t be projected as Mumbai’s Kamathipura.
