Varanasi, 30 July 2013
A group of Muslim women in Varanasi hailed the divisive yet popular leader, Narendra Modi and hoped that he would become the country’s next Prime Minister. The women on Monday also claimed that his successful governance model can forge a path of prosperity and growth for the country. The burqa clad women held a prayer session and a rally for Modi. Muslim woman Nazneen Ansari said that Modi would work for the upliftment of Muslim women, if elected as the Prime Minister.
Editor’s note: The agency video says that thousands of Musims were killed in Gujarat riot which is not true. The agency in its scrips also defines Narendra Modi as divisive leader, which is actually a phrase coined by his opponent Congress party. We wish that agencies check the facts and stay away from using phrases.
