-Suspended cop and one of the accused in Ishrat Jahan encounter case Shri NK Amin’s bail plea has been rejected by the Gujarat High Court.
-Three-day long Travel and Tourism Fair(TTF) was inaugurated by state Tourism Minister Shri Saurabh Patel today in Ahmedabad. The travel fair is open only for travel industry persons for first two days. On Sunday, the fair will be opened for general public.
-New seven districts are now in existence in Gujarat. Some protests are witnessed at two places. Towns like Bodeli, Nasvadi, Sankheda are protesting against Chhota Udepur as district headquarters of newly formed Chhota Udepur district. Breakup of Talala taluka is being opposed in Junagadh/Gir Somnath district.
-A meeting of Gujarat micro, small and medium enterprises development advisory board was held today at Udhyog bhawan in Gandhinagar chaired by minister Saurabh Patel. The minister said that such meeting is held every year. A list of policy related issues to discuss is invited in advance. This year total 68 issues were received from various associations which were discussed today in a meeting, and concerned ministers were asked to resolve them quickly.
