In an interesting political development, Bihar Congress leader Sadhu Yadav today met Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP campaign committee chief Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar. The meeting went on for around half an hour. According to sources, Dasai Chaudhary also met the Chief Minister.
Sadhu Yadav is Rashtriya Janata Dal(RJD) chief Lalu Prasad’s brother-in-law. Sadhu Yadav had quit the RJD after being denied an election ticket in 2009.He had then joined the Congress after leaving the RJD. He had unsuccessfully contested from Bettiah Lok Sabha seat.
After the meeting Sadhu Yadav told media persons that meeting Mr. Modi is lot more easier than meeting Rahul Gandhi.
“Is Narendra Modi an untouchable? Is he not an Indian citizen? There was no agenda in my meeting. I met him because I was in the city,” Sadhu Yadav further said.
“There’s no comparison between Rahul and Modi. If you want to meet Rahul Gandhi, then you have to wait for atlease three years,” he said.
“It doesn’t matter whether Congress wants or not, the people of the country want Narendra Modi,” he further said.
“I was attending a family function of my friend Vijay Yadav at Gandhinagar on Thursday night with Dasai and two more fritnds. So I paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Narendra Modi,” Sadhu Yadav said.
“During our 40-45 minutes meeting he inquired about old politicians of Bihar and prevailing political situations in the state,” said Yadav.
Responding to a query, Yadav said, “Yes, he also asked about Lalu Prasad Yadav.”
“My meeting was purely a courtesy visit and no political meaning should be derived out of it,” he added.
