Gujarat Congress in its statement issued here claimed that Ahmedabad district’s Ranpur taluka panchayat body will soon be governed by Congress party.
“Recently on 14 August, Congress moved no confidence motion against ruling BJP body in Ranpur taluka panchayat which passed by 11 vs 4 votes. In view of this, there are chances that Congress will take over the body and Congress’s candidate will be elected as President,” Congress party statement said.
It added that BJP had got clear majority in year 2010 election here. But people were not happy with the work.
Congress has credited district panchayat leader Murtuzakhan Pathan, Ranpur taluka Congress president Fatubha Parmar, MLA Karamshibhai Patel(Koli) for this success of no confidence motion.
