1.5 km long flag created for Ambaji mandir

Surat based Ashapura Mitra Mandal(Thasra) has created 1.5 km long red flag for Ambaji mandir. This flag is 1551 gaj(3878 ft) long and 29 ft wide. It has been created by two tailors during last two weeks at a cost of Rs. 1.5 lakh.
According to Ashok Kunt from Ashapura mitra mandal, the previous record is 1151 ft. A new flag will break old record. After some finishing touches, the flag will be showcased at canal road in Surat possibly on Sunday.
Around 125 youths of Mitra mandal will leave for Ambaji ahead of Bhadarvi poonam and offer this flag to Ambaji mandir.
