New Delhi, 4 September 2013
Congress MPs in the Rajya Sabha today shouted slogans against Narendra Modi and demanded his resignation.
Congress made all efforts to hamper Modi’s rising popularity by pointing out to suspended police officer DG Vanzara’s 10-page letter as an evidence against him and his close aide Amit Shah.
Trying to cash in on Vanzara controversy, Congress MPs shouted slogans: “Narendra Modi istifa do” (Narendra Modi should resign), “Modi ko giraftar karo” (Arrest Modi).
Defending the party’s election campaign chief, the Bharatiya Janata Party MPs responded by saying: “Aayega bhai aayega, Narendra Modi aayega” (Yes he will, Narendra Modi will come).
