Ultra Marathoner Arun Bhardwaj to run Amdavad-Surat-Amdavad

44 years old Arun Bhardwaj, an employee of the Planning Commission in New Delhi and an international ultramarathoner will run for 150 hours from Ahmedabad to Surat and back today to mark Swami Vivekananda’s address at the parliament of the world’s religions in Chicago, US on September 11, 1893. The total distance he is going to cover is 600 km. Arun will break his previous record of 567 km. He had made this record in South Africa in year 2011 in six days.
Arun has completed Kargil to Kanyakumari run in 2012 covering 4,135 km distance in 61 days. He has been the first Indian to runt he Badwater Ultramarathon which is considered world’s toughest foot-race. Arun’s run will be flagged off at 10 am today from Vivekananda statue near town hall in Ahmedabad.
