AMC’s phase-3 plan for BRTS

Standing committee of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) has approved the final detailed project report(DPR) of Bus Rapid Transit System(BRTS) phase 3 involving 26.8 kms routes at a cost of Rs. 353 crore(13.1 crore per km)+Rs.49.4 crore for construction of BRTS stations. The DPR will be sent to JnNURM for approval now. The work will start only after JnNURM approval. For the first time, AMC has planned to introduce RCC roads for BRTS routes.
The phase 3 routes include:
Shivranjini to APMC market
Jashodanagar to Hathijan
Vadaj to APMC(Ashram road)
Sola to Science City
Narol to Aslali village
Akhbarnagar to Gota cross roads
