More Golden things ready to be part of Shri Somnath mandir in the course of its ongoing golden face lift. Here they are shown in the photographs. A golden trishul looks impressive. Isn’t it?
12 artists from Delhi have started the task of converting Shri Somnath mandir’s shikhar into golden with 10 kg gold costing Rs. 3 crore. Jaipur based businessman Dilipbhai Lakhi family had donated 30 kg gold for golden garbha griha. The family donated 10 kg gold more to make 151 ft tall shikhar, flag, damru and trishul golden. 12 artists from outside the state along with 13 local artists have joined the task which would be completed in two days according to assistant manager Vijaysinh Chavda.
In another news, Ambaji Devasthan Trust has received 2.57 Kg gold worth Rs. 65 lakh through online donation scheme in last three months. The online donation scheme has been executed with the help of the State Bank of India(SBI). The total task of converting Ambaji mandir shikhar into golden shall need 60 kg gold. So far 43 kg gold has been donated. Out of that 36.111 kg has been used for 3500 sq ft work which has been completed.
