About Gurudwara Shri Lakhpat Sahib Ji :

The status of this place as a Gurudwara is due to tits historical associations.

Guru Nanak(1469-1539), founder of the Sikh faith, stayed in a house on this site on his way to and from Mecca. Later, his host’s descendant established here a Tikana(seat) of the Udasi panth, a sect of Sikh sadhus.

The Udasi sect was founded in the 15th century by Guru Nanak’s son Shrichand.
