Congress MLA Prabhu Vasava resigns to join BJP

One more Congress MLA, this one from Mandvi seat of Surat district has submitted his resignation from assembly. This is second Congress MLA resigning today. Earlier Abadasa(Kutch) MLA Chhabilbhai Patel submitted his resignation to join BJP. Vasava is Surat district Congress president and three time MLA. Congress MLAs were seen attempting to convince Vasava to not to resign, but Vasava firmly and speedily rushed to Speaker’s chamber to submit his resignation.
In recent weeks this is fifth Congress MLA submitting his resignation. Earlier Congress MLAs Bavku Udhad, Jashabhai Barad and Rajendrasinh Chavda have submitted their resignation in support of Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s candidature as BJP’s prime ministerial candidate. Earlier Vitthal Radadia and Jayesh Radadia had submitted their resignation from the assembly in favor of BJP. BJP was victorious in all seven assembly/Lok Sabha by-polls last year in Gujarat.
