12th flyover ready to carry traffic on Samkhiali-Gandhidham stretch

12th fly-over built under project of six-laning of Samkhiyali-Gandhidham national highway has been opened for traffic. Total number of planned fly-overs on this stretch is 14.
The new flyover is 800 meter long and it is located near Kandla Special Economic Zone(KASEZ).
In recent past 1.5 km long flyover was opened on Cargo motors-ST bus station stretch. Work for another two flyovers near Gandhidham national highway railway crossing and Bhachau is going on.
Gandhidham-Samkhiali highway is nationally important as it is the main evacuation route for Kandla and Mundra Ports, connecting to the hinterlands spread out in the interiors of Gujarat and North India, extending to Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and beyond.
