Two Indian engineers Sanket Pandya from Vadodara and his colleague, Mohammed Hussain Khan, from Haryana stranded in Iran due to a techo-commercial issue between the companies have made an emotional appeal for their return through a video they recorded in their hotel room in Tehran. The video has been uploaded on the internet.

Both engineers were a part of a team of a Goa-based company that had gone to Zanjan in Iran in November to commission a power plant. They were kept at a guest house in Zanjan. In December Some complications in a power generator caused dispute between Goa based firm and Zanjan based company. The company in Iran took away passports of Sanket and Khan saying they needed to complete formalities. Later, they were told that their hospitality was being discontinued and the passports were not with the company. After Vadodara MP Balu Shukla took up the issue with the central government, Sanket and Khan were provided accommodation in a hotel by the Indian embassy.

Sanket’s wife has written a letter to Goa Chief Minister to press Goa based Power Engineering Company to solve dispute with Iranian company.
