This video of Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s song, Locha-E-Ulfat is from Abhishek Varman’s 2 States. A part of this song has been shot at IIM-A (Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad), a first for a Bollywood film. The book on which the movie, produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala, is based on, is also set in the institute.

Janata Dal(United) today announced its 15 candidates in which 5 are from Gujarat.

Salman Khan may shoot in Gujarat

Bollywood star Salman Khan is reportedly going to be shooting in Gujarat sometime in mid 2014 for a 12 day schedule for Sooraj Barjatya’s next fim. Sonam Kapoor will shoot with Salman in Gujarat during this visit. The rest of the film is reportedly to be shot in Mumbai.

Ahmed Patel-Praful Patel to meet to discuss Gujarat alliance

As predicted Gujarat NCP Chief and MLA Jayant Patel today said, Praful Patel and Ahmed Patel will hold a meeting and take decision on whether the NCP-Congress alliance should continue. If no solution comes from the meeting, NCP will break the alliance in Gujarat and field our candidates in all the 26 seats in the state, he said.The rift was because Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia was not willing to let NCP field candidate from Porbandar. NCP had decided to field Kandhal Jadeja (MLA from Kutiyana and son of deceased gangster ‘Godmother’ Santokben Jadeja), but Arjunbhai was adamant on not fielding him, said Patel. Congress leader and spokesperson Shaktisinh Gohil told PTI, Congrss is ready to give three seats to NCP. Porbandar is also offered to them.

At the first meeting of the CII Western Regional Council 2014-15, held on 15 March 2014 in Mumbai, Mr Chetan Tamboli was elected as the Chairman, CII Western Region. Mr Tamboli is Chairman and Managing Director, Steelcast Limited, India, a third generation entrepreneur, a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Business Administration.Mr Tamboli has been the Chairman of Steelcast Ltd since August 16, 2011. Steelcast Ltd is engineering public limited company manufacturing steel & alloy steel castings for mining & construction equipment Industry.He was Deputy Chairman of CII Western Regional Council for 2013-14. He is also Past Chairman of CII Gujarat State Council. At the same meeting Mr Sanjay Kirloskar was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry, Western Region for the year. Mr Sanjay Kirloskar is the Chairman and Managing Director of Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL). He holds Bachelor’s in Science in Mechanical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, USA. Mr Kirloskar is on the Board of Trade, Government of India, and also a member of the Government-Industry joint task force. He also heads CII’s ASEAN Committee.
