Protests over ticket allocation continue on various seats

Protests against candidates are continuing in both BJP and Congress on various seats.

After Rabari community, now Thakor community members have raised voice against Banaskantha seat’s Congress candidate Joitabhai Patel.Members of Thakor community gathered at Palanpur based district Congress office and started Ram dhoon against party’s decision.

On the other hand supporters of former IPS Rajan Priyadarshi protested against Congress candidate Ishwar Makwana and asked party to field Priyadarshi.

In another development, Congress leader Narsinh Patel has opposed party’s decision to give ticket to Himmatsingh Patel on Ahmedabad East seat. Narsinh Patel alleged that Himmatsingh was known for selling party tickets during Municipal Corporation and assembly elections. Patel said it is not understandable that how a person who was defeated in assembly polls, and also lost civic election successfully got party ticket again.

In BJP, Valsad district leader Kanjibhai Patel is protesting against BJP candidate KC Patel. Kanjibhai who is believed as Guru of KC Patel and Mangubhai Patel said KC Patel left BJP to join Shankersinh Vaghela’s front in 1990s. KC Patel has been given ticket due to influence of Vapi based industrial house. Kanjibhai refused to meet Narendra Modi on KC Patel issue and said he would try every effort to ensure defeat of KC Patel.
