UPDATE on 3rd April 2014

To register online for GUJCET 2014, students need to pay Rs. 250 and get a booklet on the basis of which pin number and password are filled during online registration. In short, without getting pin number and password through a booklet by paying Rs. 250, online registration of GUJCET 2014 is not possible. Some students have complained that the stock of booklets is finished and booklets are not available anymore. However the Examination board argues that it had printed 60,000 booklets while the approximate figure of those appearing in GUJCET 2014 is around 40,000, therefore there’s no question of shortage of booklets. The board had declared that booklet will be available from 42 centers, however actually it is available only from four centers as of now. From Wednesday, 2 April, GUJCET fee collection centres are reduced to four; One each at Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot. All 42 centres were available to students just for April 1, though the last day for depositing fee is April 15. This means thousands of students from other districts will need to travel to these four places for GUJCET 2014 fee. The board says shortage of human resource is responsible for this decision.
