On Friday evening, Fatta’s partner Afzal Dalal’s brother Amjad Dalal(40) who is a land developer was shot in stomach and injured by two unidentified miscreants near a paan shop in Adajan Patiya area of Surat. The second attempt misfired as the firearm had developed some snag. One miscreant fired at the victim, while the other kept the motorcycle ready to escape.
Locals informed the police that before shooting at Dalal, the miscreants had called him out as Afroz. They asked him his name twice before he was shot. The caller from Estonia told Afroz on phone, “Ab ki baat bach gayaa hai, ab nahi bachenga“.
When Afroz asked “who’s calling?” the person on other end replied three times, “tera baap bol raha hun“.
