Jitu Lal, Rupala, ST buses, Vipul Chaudhary, Rajkot BJP trouble: News in brief from across the state

-Jitendra Haridas Lal, son of former Gujarat Minister Haridas Jivadas Lal(Babubhai Lal) today left Congress party . Jitu Lal was Congress candidate in year 2007 and year 2012 assembly elections in Jamnagar.He said he voluntarily resigned from Congress. Jitu Lal will take decision on whether to join BJP or not in day or two after meeting his supporters. Jitu Lal is Congress party’s state delegate. He has been president of chamber of commerce for six years. He is president of Lohana Mahajan, and offering his services as director in Hapa Market Yard and district cooperative bank.

-The Gujarat High Court has approved anticipatory bail of Doodhsagar dairy chief Vipul Chaudhary.

-AAM AAdmi Party(AAP)’s Gujarat convener Sukhdev Patel today morning faced accident. Patel was riding two-wheeler when a car hit him. Patel was taken to nearby Jivraj Mehta hospital where he was given treatment. Police arrested the car driver and released him on bail later.

-Gujarat BJP leader Parshottam Rupala criticized the behavior of Madhusudan Mistry today. Rupala said Mistry is not just a common candidate but he is Congress’s national general secretary. He is Rahul Gandhi’s core team member. Congress has assigned him responsibility of Uttar Pradesh.

-Gujarat Congress has received rights to advertise on State Transport(ST) buses.

-BJP faced trouble in Rajkot on Thursday. The Rajkot unit of party revolted against state high command’s authoritative decision. All city unit party workers and leaders locked BJP office and switched off their phones. The state leadership is trying to make efforts to resolve the issue. According to primary details coming in, the party high command appointed Dr. Vallabh Kathiria and Shivlal Vekaria as observer above already appointed Lok Sabha seat incharge and seat guardian. This just didn’t go well with local party unit. BJP also faced similar trouble in Junagadh also on Thursday evening. The party office was deserted by party workers after they heard party has given responsibilities of Junagadh seat to part’s Rajkot unit.
