Madhusudan Mistry released on conditional bail

Congress General Secretary and party’s Lok Sabha candidate for Vadodara seat Madhusudan Mistry was given conditional bail by local court in Vadodara.

Around 60 Congress workers who were arrested along with Mistry were also released on bail.

Mistry was arrested after his attempt to remove Narendra Modi’s hoarding on light pole on public road. Mistry attempted to replace Narendra Modi’s hoarding with his own hoarding. His supporters blocked a road.

Mistry has been released on Rs. 5,000 personal bond. He has been asked to remain present in court and police station when called.

Mistry told media persons that senior party leaders are meeting the election commission and he would announce his next line of action on Friday.

Former Oxfam field officer turned politician Mistry was later seen standing on door of sports utility vehicle and chanting ‘Halla bol’ slogans.
