Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidate from Bhandara, Union minister Praful Patel is using Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi’s photograph for his campaign.
BJP state campaign in-charge Shrikant Bhartiya met chief electoral officer Nitin Gadre to file a complaint against Patel for misusing the photo of Modi.
The photograph has been printed in `Vikasnama’ Patel’s campaign book. The photograph shows Modi talking to Patel and having a hearty laugh at a function.
As per the Election Commission, there’s no rule preventing candidates from using the photograph of another party’s leader in his/her campaign material.
