Ahmedabad, 7 April 2014
During his interaction session at Ahmedabad’s Khadiya Footpath Parliament, senior BJP leader Dr. Subramanian Swamy was asked several interesting questions to which he reacted in his own style.
Dr. Swamy was asked about political situation in south. In his reply he compared this election with year 1977 elections when Congress was defeated. Dr. Swamy said: In 1977 Janata Party won only 1 seat in Andhra Pradesh, only 4 in Tamil Nadu, only 2 seats in Karnataka and zero in Kerala. This time with alliance with Chandrababu Naidu, we will get 25 out fof 42, Karnataka 22, Tamil Nadu 10 and Kerala minimum 1 which is Trivandrum. So this is better than 1977. In 1977 Janata Party won all over north India, not even in Gujarat. This time we are going to win all 26 in Gujarat, 51-70 in UP. Getting majority in parliament is not a question. We will get majority.
When asked by a common person what he can do in this election season as a citizen, Dr. Swamy asked him to go to families in his locality, check irregularities in electoral roll and inform local BJP office if bogus voters or irregularities are found.
Dr. Swamy was also asked what would happen is NDA fails to get power in centre this time! Watch his reply in the video itself.
