Ahmedabad, 8 April, 2014
As many as four candidates of Aam Aadmi Party had returned their tickets, following which the party has declared new candidates.
DeshGujarat earlier reported that AAP’s Rajkot candidate Pinalben had returned ticket claiming a road accident responsible for her decision. AAP has replaced her with Ankur Dhameliya. Simiarly AAP’s candidate for Abadasa assembly seat by-election Surajsinh Sodha has returned ticket. AAP says Sodha has returned ticket due to personal reasons. However it is learnt that Surajsinh has withdrawn in favor of Congress candidate Shaktisinh Gohil to avoid division in Kshatriya votes. AAP has replaced him with one Rohitbhai Gor. It should be noted that Shaktisinh Gohil relies on Kshatriya and Muslim votes to win Abdasa seat against BJP candidate Chhabilbhai Patel. AAP’s new candidate Rohitbhai Gor doesn’t belong to Kshatriya community.
AAP has fielded Chandubhai Chaudhary as new candidates on Bardoli Lok Sabha seat, as earlier announced candidate Thakorbhai Gami returned ticket citing personal reasons. Party has replaced Visavdar assembly by-poll candidate Dhirubhai Bhakhar with Kanakray Kanani.
