Mobile operators to send SMS to 3.2 lakh voters in Surat district

As many as 3.2 million mobile phone users in Surat district will receive SMS appeal to vote on 30th April polling day.
According to Surat district election officer Jayprakash Shivhare, a meeting with all telecom operators active in Surat district concluded with a decision that mobile service operators will take initiative to send SMS to 3.2 million users to appeal them to vote.
A message ‘Please vote on 30-402014 between 7.00 am to 6.00 pm’ will be sent to mobile phone users on 26 and 27 April. Gujarat is going to witness polling on 30 April.
