-The Election Commission has ordered closure of BJP’s office in Nakhatrana as it falls within the 200 meter limit of polling booth. The step has taken on complaint of an independent candidate.
-Vadodara Congress candidate Madhusudan Mistry sat on dharna today demanding transfer of district collector and police commissioner for filing case against him.
-The Gujarat government today once against sought further time to file affidavit in Teesta Setalvad anticipatory bail case. The court has given time till 19 June. The government has given assurance to not to arrest Teesta and others till then.
-Fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon at operation theater of Surat new civil hospital. None was hurt due to timely ejection.
-A new flyover in Vadodara connecting city’s Dandiyabajar and Akota areas has been opened for public. A 700 meter long bridge is 27.42 meter wide. It has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 70 crore. It is likely to carry 40,000 vehicles every day.
