Widening work of two over bridges in Vadodara approved

Vadodara Municipal Corporation may soon take decision on widening of Vishwamitri over bridge in city. Estimated cost for this work will be Rs. 24.90 crore. The railway over bridge connects city’s Lalbaug to Mujmhuda. It has been named after Shri Subhash Chandra Bose. It carries daily around 60,000 vehicles. It is presently two lane in width. It has to be converted to six lane bridge. The task of widening may take at least 18 months time. The work is likely to be started post monsoon period.
The VMC has recently approved tender worth Rs. 17.52 crore for city’s oldest Shastri bridge’s expansion from existing three lane to six lane.
