According to Bureaucracy Buzz, Rajeev Topno, IAS(Gujarat cadre: 1996), Director, Prime Minister Office has been appointed to the post of Private Secretary to the Prime Minister.

Rajiv Topno was once the only Gujarat cadre officer in then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh’s office. He was in news in 2011 when he was served notice for his alleged involvement in multi-crore post-earthquake debris removal scam. Topno was Kutch district development officer at the time of earthquake.

Topno joined as deputy secretary in the PMO in New Delhi in 2009. He had been holding charge as the managing director of IndextB and joint chief executive officer (CEO) of Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA) before PMO assignment.
