Gujarat Congress doesn’t even want to take the name of Rahul Gandhi. In its statement shared with media after two-day ‘chintan shibir’, Gujarat Congress skipped Rahul Gandhi’s name, but mentioned Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh twice. The state unit thanked Dr. Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi but not Rahul Gandhi who led the party during the last Lok Sabha general elections.

“A motion giving thanks to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and National President Sonia Gandhi was moved on the last day of Chintan Shibir for their leadership during ten years rule in centre in Congress-led government,” the statement shared with media said.

It has to be mentioned that yesterday, Rahul Gandhi’s team member Madhusudan Mistry was forced to cut short his speech by some Gujarat Congress workers by shouting slogans.

Even Leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela in his speech mentioned how Soniaji put the car of Congress party in top gear but then handed over the driving seat to someone else.

Gujarat Congress has in its motion thanked Dr. Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi for giving progressive leadership and stability even amid economic crisis, RTI, right to education, information, forest land, urban development mission, rural health mission, right to food etc.
