-As many as 101 cops are deployed on national highway number 8 in Bharuch district in Gujarat to manage the traffic problem following temporary closure of Sardar bridge. The crucial bridge over river Narmada on one of the busiest highway stretches in India is closed for a day for repair work.

Local court in Ahmdabad rejected a complaint filed by Aam Aadmi Party worker Nishant Verma against Narendra Modi. Petitioner had filed the application demanding police investigation against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and an election officer for allegedly hiding his marital status during the 2012 assembly elections. Judicial magistrate at Mirzapur court campus, M M Shaikh had admitted the case. The court believed that there’s a ground for case against Modi, but the petition has been filed too late and therefore not maintainable.

-Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation today made Rs 1358 lakh waste pumping station in Ramol-Hathijan area. Ground breaking of 260 housing units that are to be built in Khokhra area of city under the Gujarat State Slum Rehabilitation Policy 2010 was performed today. Also performed was ground breaking of Rs. 1542 lakh Bus Rapid Transit System(BRTS) workshop-depot in Odhav area.Ground breaking for Waste water pumping station to be set up at a cost of Rs. 1085 lakh was also performed in Vejalpur area today.

Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani today visited Ahmedabad’s Jagannath Mandir and sought blessings of Lord Jagannath. Smriti believes a visit to Jagannath Mandir of Amdavad post Rath Yatra is lucky for her. She believes her past visit to Jagannath Mandir after Rath Yatra was fruitful and she was extremely benefited.
